Let’s get one thing straight off the bat, the Knicks aren’t doing as well as fans would hope. But at least entering this season, there was some hope. After dealing off Carmelo Anthony, which many fans believe was for the best interest of their beloved franchise, the team looked to be rebuilding the right way. The season has been a rocky one with the team having trouble reaching the .500.

But again, it was okay, since we had the Latvian Unicorn, Kristaps Porzingis, showing the rest of the league and us, fans, what he could do. Until of course, he tore his ACL against the Bucks. Now, with him out for the season, Knicks fans have to face the reality that the best we can all hope for is the development and maturing of our young players so that when Porzingis returns, he’ll have all the support he can get.
Talented young stars Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina should work closely with veterans Joakim Noah, Michael Beasley, and Enis Kanter, and grow from the experience. This is the dilemma now.
But it can be done with patience and the right process – just take a look at the Golden State Warriors before Steve Kerr entered the picture. The core players of the Dubs -- Curry, Thompson, and Green -- were all developed into the superstars they are today.

The Knicks have time on their side. But do they also have the patience and determination? Only time will tell.
